I did an inventory of all the subscriptions that I ‘had’ to have, you know all the bits and pieces you need to make this type of business work. Believe it or not, I did not even subscribe to them all. So there was a world out there that I just could not effectively compete with. And don’t get me started with the overheads – you know the fixed costs just to start and run an online business was crippling. It no longer made any sense.

I had, had enough. It was either time to quit or fix this problem. I love a challenge. So fix this problem I did.

I put together a team of very smart in-house developers and we set off to create all the tools and functions, automation and formulas to make sure all products sold was profitable and competitive. Finally, no longer were we on the back foot, and the best thing of it all I now knew how much money the company had or needed to stay in the bank account just to meet all the bills and expenses. The days of bill shock was gone.

This project took years to build, to test, to action and redo. Patience was tested as major calendar events missed and opportunity costs that we should have been prepared for, it worked but I just was not happy with the full performance, I felt the platform just was not where it needed to be. 

Then, you know what some thing really BIG happened – something magical. The backend support – these teams became happy. The energy changed, the mood changed… I could hear laughter about their successes and smiles were visible and they walked by. The teams were happy. They were happy because there was an enormous break through the performance became easy, fast and a pleasure to work on.

As an owner who had taken on all the risk, invested a number way too large to publish, you know the feeling your hard earn savings being gobbled up at a blink of an eye. Well I got sick of all the minor mistakes that in the end added up to a very large sum. I fixed it. We looked at all the touch points, reviewed all the pieces that could be automated, all the overheads that we could get rid of and the fixed costs all those subscriptions that we no longer needed. All this effort was worth it. The business turned around. The sales easily increased and now the business was making money. Real money.

The word ‘real’ actually means something in finance. You will know what I mean when you hear it. Real Estate. Real Assets. Real Businesses. There are certain asset classes that I invest in and Real Businesses are my number one. Businesses that have positive cash flow. Businesses that allow me to breath and have the space to be creative, a future, dependable and stable. Reliable.

I love numbers. But, I don’t love doing the same calculations every day. Nor do I love repetitious tasks. My success formula is do it once and its done. I live by this. I do it at home, I do it at work. Our system has been designed with individual operators, small online business who want to grow and scale but just cannot bear or just cannot afford another expense to take on. Who like me, love what they do, but want the business to pay them, not the other way around. They desperately want to know how to make money out of this online business world.

The money maze, the business maze, whaaat! It can certainly feel like you are stuck in the middle of a maze,.

We have done the hard work, worked those formulas so that you have a business that will actually make money. The business is the prize. There is just so much you can do with it.
